THE GOSPEL
Matthew 18:15-20If two of you agree … about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father.
Immigrants, starvation, trafficking of humans,
global warming, homelessness …
Lord, what can we
possibly
do?
“If two of you agree on earth
about anything you ask,
it will be done for you
by my Father in
heaven.”
Christ,
lord of love,
let us not think twice.
Let us trust in your words.
Let us come together and pray
as one.
THE FIRST READING
Ezekiel 33:7-9You, son of man, I have appointed watchman for the house of Israel.
Lord,
make us watchers.
In love help us
to watch over our brothers and sisters.
Let us help them lay their hands on what is justly theirs:
food, shelter, freedom, schooling and
human rights.
THE SECOND READING
Romans 13:8-10Owe nothing to anyone, except to love one another.
There is only one thing,
one rule to live by,
one debt we
owe:
love one another.
Lord Jesus,
be with us when it is easy,
and with us when love is trying.
Give us a hand when love makes demands.
