(He) led them up a high mountain by themselves.
And he was transfigured before them. (Gospel)

Burning Bush

A blaze of scarlet
leaves

cornstalks hollow and
dry

the smell of upturned
earth–

on a blade of
grass

one water drop
flashed

colors suddenly

as sunlight breaks
through

a clouded sky–the
feeling

that in a flash God
saw

all and clothed
himself in it
