For the Church: that we may introduce others to Christ through our lives, our deeds, and our words

For the grace of recognition: that our hearts may perceive the words, deeds, and experiences that reveal God’s abiding presence within us and God’s invitations to life

For the transformation of our attitudes toward the body and sexuality: that we may recognize our bodies as Temples of the Holy Spirit and the sacredness of sexuality

For all who are discerning their life’s calling: that the Spirit of God will guide them to recognize God’s loving invitations to utilize their gifts and talents in the service of God’s reign

For young people: that they will develop relationships that are life giving and guided by honesty and respect

For all who are searching for something more in life: that they may discover the words of life
in the Gospel and find in Christ the fulfillment for all their longing

For Christian Unity: that God will open new paths of understanding and cooperation so that all Christians may work together to confront evil and further the work of God

For the healing of the human family: that the Spirit of God will heal the wounds and scars of prejudice and racism and that all people may work together for justice and dignity

For all lay ministers: that God will strengthen them for service and open the pathways for their gifts and talents to build up the church

For the leaders of government: that God will awaken within their hearts insights into the deepest needs of those whom they serve and help them develop policies that will promote the common good

For greater respect for human life: that God will bring forth a greater appreciation of the gift of human life within all hearts and give wisdom to those who are faced with difficult decisions

For all who are unemployed or underemployed: that God will open new opportunities for them to use their gifts to support their families and in the service of the human family

For wounded members of the military: that God will heal their wounds and painful memories and help them find the resources to live full and active lives

For peace: that God will touch hearts and inspire minds to new ways of working together so that injustices and violence may cease
