Responsorial Psalm: 4:2, 4, 7-8, 9
Reading II: 1 John 2:1-5a
Gospel: Luke 24:35-48

I ask the grace to “allow us to understand what we read”

(Introductory Prayers)

The Gospel
Luke 24:35-48

Touch me and see.

Lord,
you pitch your tent
among ours.

Let us find out where you dwell.

In the beauty of sun and moon and stars,
In the faces of the needy and forlorn.

In the breaking of the Bread,
in talking with friends.
in our grief.

Let us cling to
you.

Let us find
you

a hundred
ways

every
day.

THE FIRST READING
Acts 3:13-15, 17-19

The author of life you put to death.

Author of life,
you wrote the book.

You devised the plot.

You entered
our story
as
the

main

character.

Allow us to understand
what we read.

THE SECOND READING
1 John 2:1-5a

If anyone does sin, we have an Advocate, not for our sins only but for those of the whole world.

Through Jesus,

absolution.

For all people everywhere
till the end of time.

We ask just
one thing
more.

Let
us too
learn to love you
and to love one another
in the way you
love
us.
