For the Church: that through our words and deeds of loving service, we may confront evil in all of its forms and faithfully announce the reign of our God
For the grace to be grounded in God: that each of us, whether celibate, single, married, or widowed may seek God first in our lives and love others with the love with which God first loves us
For all who are prophets: that they may understand the mind and heart of God and awaken new insights for the renewal and restoration of the Church
For all who are single: that they may share their time and gifts with this community and strengthen the witness to Christ that we offer
For all who exercise authority: that they may use their authority as Jesus did, to free, to heal, and to restore unity
For all who are bound by evil: that the Spirit of Christ may release them from addictions, greed, power, and selfishness so that they may live in the freedom of God’s children
For all parents and teachers: that they will promote a passion for the truth and a love for learning in their children
For all who have mental and emotional illness: that God’s love will strengthen, heal, and sustain them and lead us to greater compassion and understanding
For members of the military: that God will guide and protect them, and lead them home safely
For all preparing ministry or religious life: that they may grow in their knowledge of God and of themselves so that they may fully respond to all that God asks of them
For members of Congress and legislatures: that they will hear the needs of the powerless and marginalized as legislation and priorities are developed
For all are struggling financially: that God will give them courage and peace as they await new opportunities to use their gifts
For all who are grieving: that they may experience God’s comforting presence and the loving support of others
For Peace: that leaders may find new ways to resolve disputes and establish a just and peaceful society
