A Poem To Sit With
Holy Thursday
April 5, 2012

Reading I: Exodus 12: 1-8, 11-14
Responsorial Psalm: 116: 12-13, 15-16bc, 17-18
Reading II: 1 Corinthians 11: 23-26
Gospel: John 13: 1-15

I have always taught in a synagogue or in the temple area where all the Jews gather, and in secret I have said nothing. Why ask me? Ask those who heard me what I said to them. They know what I said." (Passion acc. to John)

Shalom

Your voice
has blessed
my day

and though
we must pass

the trees
will not
forget

they were
listening

others will
hear your
blessing

in their voices and
not be afraid
