Christ, call us. Give us your love and your grace.

THE
GOSPEL
Luke 7:11-17
When the Lord saw her, he was moved with pity for her
and said to her, “Do not weep.”
|
“Do not weep,”
you say
to us,
and, moved with pity,
you join us,
and you
weep
with
us.
Jesus,
touch us and awaken us from our sleep.
Let us be moved with pity
when we see our
neighbors
cry.
THE
FIRST
READING
1 Kings 17:17-24
Elijah called out to the LORD: “O LORD, my God, let the life breath return to the body of this child.”
|
Lord:
O Lord, our God,
We too call out to you.
Let the life breath of your Spirit
come into our hearts and let them be
revived.
THE
SECOND
READING
Galatians 1:11-19
But when God, who from my mother’s womb had set me apart and called me through his grace…
|
Paul’s soul was dead.
Through your grace
you called him
back to life,
to live in
you.
Christ, call us.
Give us your love and your grace.
It is enough for us.
