Jesus,
you ask us,
“Who do you say I am?
Help us say it.
With mouths speaking justice for the poor.
With feet rushing to those in need.
Hands picking up our crosses.
Trust that shatters fear.
O Lord, with hearts
loving you and
others in
you.
Help us say it. And do it.
Lord,
show it to our hearts.
Show us him whom they have pierced.
Let us mourn for him as one
mourns for a
lost
only son.
Lead us to the fountain
and give us to
drink
of
this Jesus,
who makes us clean
from our
sin.
THE
SECOND
READING
Galatians 3:26-29
For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ
|
Baptized,
we
have
put on Christ.
Put on his flesh and bones.
We came
to light in his brilliance:
living in him, descended from him,
fulfilled again in the promise God is making.
Male or female, brown or white
Jew or Greek, slave
or free.
One in Christ.
