J. Janda

“A prophet is not without honor except in his native place
and among his own kin and in his own house.”

(Gospel)

The Anointed Ones

Called to disgust

their honors are
accolades of abuse
and ridicule

their acknowledgement
a dime or quarter

their burden
to live Truth
in passing

Truth—hidden and dumb
speechless as marrow

at Baptism
branded by
the Trinity

before they were
born—Yahweh pro-
nounced their name

J. Janda
