A Poem To Sit With
14th Sunday of Ordinary Time C

Oh, that you may suck fully
of the milk of her comfort,
that you may nurse with delight (First Reading)


we are God
realized
in the making

being in
mothers birthing
in babies breathing
in the aged passing

in the seeding
and
in the dying

and mothers—
in the holding
suckle God
