A Poem To Sit With
2nd Sunday of Ordinary Time A
January 19, 2014

“On whomever you see the Spirit come down and remain,
he is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit. ”

(Gospel)

Temptations

For the Christ
did
not consider
His
divinity something
to
be clung to

but left His
land
to be our servant

outstretched arms
were
His only posture

as an infant
to
His death on a
cross

for such the
Father
desired in the
Spirit

J. Janda
