St. Clare of Assisi Parish is made up of 1000 households from the eastern portion of the St. Louis Metropolitan area, with a significant presence of families from Scot Air Force Base, IL. The assembly singing is lead primarily by the organ; the parish also owns a 9’ concert grand Baldwin piano. Parishioners volunteer their time and talent through participation in the choirs and as instrumentalists.

The Choirs of St. Clare of Assisi Parish – comprised of the Parish Choir, Women’s Schola, Men’s Schola, Treble Choir, and Cherub Choir – sing at parish liturgies from September through May.  The Parish Choir sings weekly for Masses, with the other choirs singing once or twice per month.  The choirs' repertoire spans a variety of the rich heritage of the Church from Gregorian chant to contemporary compositions.  The choirs have performed concerts in the parish setting: an Epiphany concert featuring Menotti’s “Amahl and the Night Visitors”;  a Choral Stations of the Cross concert; and “Sacred Sounds and Sights: a exploration of beauty” which celebrated the art and history of St. Clare Church.  In addition to parish ministry, the Parish Choir has sung for diocesan liturgies such as ordinations and the Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Belleville, IL.
