Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, Darien Illinois, is a diverse community rooted in faith, alive with Christ, celebrating a liturgy of life. Located next to the National Shrine of St. Therese of Lisieux, the Carmelites and the Catholic families of this neighborhood planted the seeds of a new Christian community.  We are made up of 4200 families, who generously give of their time and talents.  We have a different choir/choir director at each Mass.  Now, of course, we schedule cantors only at each Mass.  The choirs and congregation are led by a pipe organ and a 9” grand piano as well as wind, percussion and stringed instruments.  We experience Church in the people, the organizations, and the ministries under the guidance of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
