Herod acts quickly. He oils his way back to the magi and suckers them with a story about Bethlehem. Oozing charm he lures them into a promise of information about the child. He wants to give homage too, he lies.
Jesus is revealed in our own day. He is revealed as the Word of God speaking to us in the marvelous workings of nature, in the achievements of the human spirit, and in the dialogue between Church and world.
