A Poem To Sit With
Exaltation of the Holy Cross
September 14, 2014

"We have sinned in complaining against the Lord and you.
Pray the Lord to take the serpents from us."
(First Reading)

Jesus Speaks II

I know you don't
mean
to hurt others

I know you hurt
them
I know you are
mean
at times

I know too that
you are sorry
for all of this

it takes time
if you wish
to forgive
if you wish
to ask pardon

and be pardoned—

it will be given
to you
maybe no words
will
be necessary

trust in me
and
trust others

I understand
you
do you understand me

come, waste some
time with me
