THE GOSPEL
John 13:1-15I have washed your feet, you ought to wash one another’s feet.
Jesus tied a towel around his waist
and began to wash
his disciples’
feet.
Teacher, help us learn that you, the
infinite all-powerful God,
who are Inexhaustible love,
are also at heart
a servant
of all.
Let
us not
neglect or just
endure our neighbors.
Let us wash, like you, their feet
and give to them ample food and drink.
THE FIRST READING
Exodus 12:1-8, 11-14
When I strike the land of Egypt, no destructive blow
will come upon you.
Jesus
in our many flaws,
we are your pilgrim church.
Fill our hearts with the fire of your love.
Show us the way; keep us on the pilgrim path to you.
THE SECOND READING
1 Corinthians 11:23-26
This is my body that is for you.
The Word was made flesh
and dwelt among us
in Bethlehem
so long
ago.
He is our flesh and blood,
our bread and wine,
now, at every
Mass.
The Word was made flesh
and in endless love
now dwells
among
us.
He knew
we would need
him in our struggles with
wars, climate, hunger, and bias.
