THE GOSPEL
John 13:1-15I have washed your feet, you ought to wash one another’s feet.
Jesus tied a towel around his waist
and began to wash
his disciples’
feet.
Teacher, help us do the same.
Inexhaustible love
is, at heart, a
servant
of all.
Let
us not
neglect or just
endure our neighbors.
Let us wash their feet like you do,
and give them their
food and drink.
THE FIRST READING
Exodus 12:1-8, 11-14
When I strike the land of Egypt, no destructive blow
will come upon you.
We,
with so many flaws,
still hope to be pilgrim church.
Fill our hearts with the fire of your love.
Show us the way; keep us on the pilgrim path to you.
THE SECOND READING
1 Corinthians 11:23-26
This is my body that is for you.
The Word was made flesh
and dwelt among us
in Bethlehem
so long
ago.
He dwells
among
us
now
in
our
struggles.
He,
our flesh and blood;
our bread, our
wine:
the Word made flesh;
today he dwells
among
us.
