St. Margaret Mary Parish, Algonquin IL (50 miles from downtown Chicago, Rockford Diocese). Parish size - 3500 families. Four English Masses, 2 Polish.

Music ministry: 40 voice SATB choir, several small vocal ensembles, two children’s choirs (55 K-2, 30 3-5), 20 voice youth choir, 2 Polish singing groups, one 30+ voice Filipino family choir, also Polish and Filipino children’s choirs, and 10+ volunteer cantors.

Piano is always used, organ where needed – especially at Polish Masses. Other instrumentation at various times: flute, oboe, cello, brass, guitars, bass and drums. 35 piece Parish Orchestra for special occasions.

A variety of styles of music are used for worship. Hymnals used are Gather Comp 2nd ed., a Polish hymnal, and Spirit & Song I for monthly Youth/Family Masses.
