A Poem to Sit With
Twenty-Fifth Sunday
of Ordinary Time
September 23, 2018
J. Janda

For the children of this world are more prudent
in dealing with their own generation
than are the children of light.
(Gospel)

The Remembrance

  “Be still, be silent
I understand you”
he said
while cupping a flower

so a brother witnessed
then told a writer

who perhaps also felt
words as a flower

can hold a soul
